How to call a Youth Pastor (preparing your church, preparing yourselves).
Is your church getting ready to search for a Youth Minister? Does your congregation and leadership have a million questions? Do you?
For over 15 years I have been helping churches find and call, Christ-Centered, Vision Driven, Youth Pastors.
Recently I took my notes from the majority of those meetings and compressed them into a downloadable document file. (.pdf)
I've taken the top ten questions that I've answered for churches all over the country and given simple, easy to follow answers.
I am Jesus loving, believing, ordained minister in a mainline denomination. Much of my ministry has been ecumenical so I do have insight into other denominational doctrine.
I was called to full time Youth Ministry in 1986 and a have served 4 churches as youth minister and held the position of Youth Ministries Coordinator (at the denominational office level for 2 denominations).
When I was first given the job of finding youth ministers for churches our district had 3, at the end of 5 years we had 27. What you get here is the result of a crash course, failures and successes. School of hard knocks lessons that you benefit from. If God is calling you to call a Youth Minister, it's possible I can save you some pain.
