The Palmetto Pastor
Youth Ministry and Worship Resources
About Me.

David Dubay was called to Youth Ministry in 1986.  He will be the first one to admit that he had no idea what he was doing.  But with guitar in hand he proceeded to try and bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Junior and Senior High Students in a way that would excite and infect them so that they would live life as disciples.  Despite his limitations, God did some good works in those early years.  Later he was called to head up the Youth Ministry Dept of the New Harmony Presbytery (PCUSA) and later for the Diocese of South Carolina (ECUSA).  He was tasked with the ministry of finding youth ministers, preparing churches for the calling of youth ministers and later, the keeping of youth ministers (when things went bad).  In 5 years the Diocese of SC grew from 4 full-time youth pastors to 27.  While the national average stay for a youth pastor in the nation was around 18 months, the churches in his area were keeping their youth ministers for years with the benefit of ministries that had years of consistent leadership.  The fruit of these years of trial and error and much prayer and training has been compiled into an easy to understand E-Book entitled "How to Call a Youth Minister and Keep Him."

Purchase of this E-Book entitles you also to some email conversations with David to pick his brain concerning your current Youth Ministry and the Call process.

David is currently an ordained minister and that pastor at Holy Trinity Church,  Charleston SC.  He is married with 3 children which is a never ending wild ride.
